How To Play WEIRDOINSTRUCTIONS #1

  • Determine the order in which players will take turns.
  • The first player writes a wildly creative description in the first gray Description Box (which says, “Describe WEIRDO‘s head!”), thus providing direction for player #2 who tries to draw this head – and neck – in the topmost, white square. WEIRDO can be plant, animal, alien, human, or your Aunt Sadie. Use your imagination! (Be sure to extend your lines down a bit into the following square to show the next player where to start drawing.) Fold the paper down at the line.
  • Player #2 then writes a glorious description of WEIRDO‘s torso and arms in the revealed Description Box. In the next white square, Player #3 draws the torso (to the waist) and arms, as per this description. No peeking at the previous player’s drawing! Fold the paper down.
  • This process of writing, drawing, and folding continues until the hips, legs and feet are completed. Finally! Now you can unfold the paper to reveal your fantastic, collective WEIRDO!
  • At the top of the page, jot down a brilliant name for your critter.

INSTRUCTIONS #2

  • Determine playing order.
  • Players will use their own amazing ideas for the sections that they draw. (These ideas may be written in the Description Boxes, if the player chooses.)
  • Player #1 draws a head and neck in the first, white box and folds the paper down at the line.
  • Player #2 draws the torso (to the waist) and arms in the next square. Fold.
  • Player #3 draws the hips, upper legs, and knees. Fold.
  • Player #4 draws the calves and feet.
  • Unfold. Name the creation and behold the wonder that is WEIRDO!
